Christmas holiday activity ideas to entertain kids
The holiday season is the time for the family to spend time together; lazy mornings, trips to the beach, kicking the ball, reading books. But then you have those days when all of you just need to get out of the house. We have compiled a list of some of our favourite things to do and places to go to help you out over these holidays. Whether you want to spend the big bucks, or none at all, there are ideas for everyone.
The Broadwater Parklands has to be one of the best places to go with the kids for a day of fun and activities without breaking the bank. There are water play areas, beach, playgrounds with some of the coolest activity setups around, Aquasplash inflatable obstacle course and endless amount of parklands for those family picnics. And if picnics aren’t your things, you can always cross the road and get something yummy to eat in the Southport CBD.
This is one of the prettiest parts of the Gold Coast and a wonderland for all the little nature explorers out there. You can spot native flora and fauna, enjoy the 3.5 km walk around the area, go swimming or diving or even take your dog out for some exercise.
