What do we mean by “your natural connection to a supportive community?”
We know what it can be like being a parent in today’s world. Often it can feel like you’re doing everything on your own – you’ve got a house to organise and work to do. You’ve got kids to nurture and give structure to.
It can feel like a never ending hamster wheel trying to get everything organised – and often it can feel like you’re doing it all on your own. It can feel isolating and stressful, like everyone else has the whole thing sorted out, and that you’re the only one struggling. Especially with the more filtered version of life that is often portrayed through social media.
We see it time and time again with parents who join our community – and we can tell you right now, that it’s simply not the case – most parents are going through exactly the same things.
It’s the reason why we don’t consider ourselves paid babysitters or child minders – we consider ourselves a part of the community, and we welcome new mums and kids like a second family. Not only is your child supported, safe and able to thrive – but you as a parent become instantly connected into and supported by a community network f mothers, teachers, and professionals, all here for one purpose – to help your family thrive.
On a formal level, we hold monthly family support and education events that bring parents, teachers and professionals together on a regular basis. This regular contact allows parents to forge friendships & supportive connections within the community.
On an informal level, we welcome parents to visit whenever they like, stay as long as they like, and feel free to ask questions or offer suggestions at any time. Supporting each other through the process of taking care of the children, we are stronger together.
We opened the doors to Coomera Clubhouse Centre 1 on the 31st of January 2011 and expanded with our second centre in September 2014.
We’ve established both centres as an extension of home for children aged from six weeks to five years old.
We are an approved Queensland Government Education and Care Service and our education approach is based on the Federal initiative that provides outcomes which enhance and enrich children’s learning, The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
